I’ve known Jon Ford for a long time now. We met in the computer game City of Heroes, an online MMO game about creating your own superhero that we both loved (still do, thanks to the Homecoming team!) and we have been good friends ever since.
Time passed, as it does, and the game was eventually closed down, much to the mutual dismay of a LOT of people, but it was whilst playing the game that Jon came up with an idea for a story. That story was based on his main character in the game and he wrote it down. It was great fun, I loved it! It also lead to the seeds of an idea that eventually became his first book in a proposed series, called Hunters. He worked on the book for a few years and, eventually, did something I was insanely impressed by, he actually released it!
Now, if you’ve looked around this site, especially at the Author Links page, you’ll see I’ve already spoken about Jon’s book and how much I enjoyed it, so I’m not going to go into it too much again, other than to say go to his site and buy his book!
What is exciting, however, is that I won one of two prizes from the competition he ran during his book launch!
A special edition Hardback copy of his book with a stylish black and white cover, along with a few other goodies as well!
All very cool, so much so that I even did an unboxing video and put it on my new Youtube channel, which I’ll use for other things as I think of them!
